WHY ROACHES?
Roaches, like poets, are damn near impossible to exterminate. Meteors, floods, pesticides — a roach will adapt, survive, and evolve in the face of horrific events. The Roach Reading Club is for the same kind of writer — the stubborn poets finding joy and purpose in the struggle.
MEET THE HOST
Prudence Brooks is a poet, editor, and the author of TRUCE and SAVED. She founded the Roach Reading Club as a place for poets to study craft, revise bravely, and grow alongside other writers. When she’s not writing, she works with poets one-on-one as an editor and mentor.
